One Direction's OTRA Tour Ends in America

Nolstagia sets in as the One Direction boys join for one final group hug on stage after their show in Boston tonight.

The American/Canadian leg of their On the Road Again tour started in July 9th in San Diego, California and ended tonight, September 12th in Boston, Massachusetts. From Qualcomm to Gillette Stadium, West Coast to East Coast, the thousands of fans were very happy to be a part of something great.

Wild. Fun. Absolutely crazy.

The best time of your life.

Any fan who has ever been to a One Direction can personally vouch that yes, it was the best time of their lives. Any fan that hasn’t been to a One Direction concert, but sits at home on Twitter can still personally vouch that yes, it was the best time of their lives.

Four tours down in America. Hopefully several more to go.

Rumors have been spreading from different outlets and media sources that the 1D boys are breaking up soon. However, the boys took the liberty themselves to confirm that the rumors are just that – rumors.

On August 24th, Louis tweeted, “Your support is truly indescribable! It’s just a break :) we’re not going anywhere !!” And it wasn’t just Louis. Harry, Niall, and Liam all had things to say about their supposed “break up”. The end of the On the Road Again tour does not mean the end of One Direction in America.

They’ll be back! Dry those tears.

The stadiums in America had an occupancy anywhere from 60,000 to 90,000 and the boys played a total of 23 headline shows.

How many fans is that?

A lot.

And let’s not forget the millions of fans at home on Twitter or Tumblr following Niall’s, Harry’s, Liam’s, and Louis’ adventures. Every single fan, whether in America, Canada, or overseas, was able to share all of Harry’s jokes, Lilo’s banter, and Niall’s Irish dancing in Act My Age.

Their group hug in Boston tonight just shows how much they appreciate us as fans, and each other as brothers.

One Direction will take the stage again when OTRA kicks with six opening nights at the O2 Arena in London. Six sold out shows! Unbelievable, but that’s One Direction for you.

The tour has not ended yet, so if you’re crying right now, save the tears for 1d’s very last show in Sheffield on October 30th. Until then, we will get plenty of HQ pictures and goofy videos of our four boys.

The end of the American leg in Gillette tonight evoked tears from the fans in the stadiums and the fans at home. Harry took to tweeting the moment the show ended, “Thanks for spending some time with us. It’s been an amazing tour, can’t thank you enough. Thanks for having us. All the love”.

All the love to you boys as well.

Speaking on behalf of all the American fans, thank you for the laughter and the tears. Thank you for the amazing memories. Thank you for all the love you’ve given us. Thank you for all the rainbow flags you’ve held up. Thank you for all the Happy Birthday’s you sang. Thank you for all the kisses you blew. Thank you for all the songs you sang. Thank you for all the days you made. Thank you for all the lives you saved. Thank you for all your hard work.

Thank you for sharing the On the Road Again tour with us in America and Canada.

We’ll be here ’til the end.

Watch the fans and the boys in America unite for one last time at a place we can all call home.
