We’re now officially one week into the new series of Love Island, and the new batch of singletons have been packing plenty of drama into summer 2023 episodes already.

Amongst the starting lineup of contestants on the lookout for love this time are the likes of musical theatre performer Molly Marsh, gas enginee Mitchel Taylor, and beautician Ruchee Gurang.
We’ve also been graced with a few bombshells already, as late entrants such as Zachariah Noble, Whitney Adebayo and Sammy Root have made their villa debut - as well as last night’s newbies Charlotte Sumner and Leah Taylor.
Hailing from Glasgow, 23-year-old model Ella Thomas has been coupled up with semi-professional footballer Tyrique Hyde since the first episode.
Despite them getting off to an awkward start - where Ella was left red-faced when Tyrique couldn’t remember previously meeting her in a London nightclub - the couple seem to be going from strength to strength, and even stayed together throughout the dramatic first dumping of the series.

Who is Ella Thomas?
Ella is an award-winning model from Glasgow and is set to get hearts racing in this year's season as the confident Scot takes to the villa. She was named Female Model of the Year at the Scottish media awards in October 2022 and aside from modelling, has also lent her hand to some other appearances.
She told ITV before heading off to the villa: "I’ve been in a Headie One and Burna Boy music video and I was once an extra in World War Z. I was 12 years old when I filmed it and got to meet Brad Pitt, which was cool."
After the first episode, it's clear that Ella knows more than just a few famous faces, as she also revealed that she knows Tyrique, who she has been coupled up with. While Tyrique confessed to not remembering meeting her, Ella said that the pair met when they were out in London partying.
Why did Ella Thomas want to take part in Love Island?
Like the rest of the islanders, Ella is in the villa to find love and states that she is "the whole package". She states: "I know what I want in life and I’ve got a big heart."
As for the one thing she wants her fellow islanders to know about her, Ella says that she'd "let the boys know that I’m wifey material so don’t play with me!"
